We pushed pass some high levels, hit a small village and rented a Chocobo for the rest of the ride into the city. Together we ran across the zone and towards Gridania. My concentration broke for a second as my friend had caught up to me. I saw, but couldn't reach a giant statue surrounded by a crumbling structure embedded in the cliff in the horizon. The whole thing had me pulled in as I started exploring a little.

While I was waiting at a bridge I saw players running around, night turn to day and storm clouds moved in the area. Another guildmate (when I was in Central Shroud I think the name was) asked if he could come along. So I set off on my own adventure to learn Conjurer. One suggested that I go to another town and learn Conjurer to help out. My guildmates told me about this level 15 quest I was coming up on and that for a Thaumaturg it might be difficult. It made me pause for a second and reread the quest to make sure I'm turning in the right thing. I have a little popup window for quest items that I have to choose to hand in to NPCs. I learn a few new actions and keep doing 'kill 10 rats quests.' I find that I'm looking at the map a lot and trying to figure out where I need to go. My guildmates have played the previous betas and absolutely LOVE this game, so I must be missing something. I had chosen Thaumaturg for a class and it was slow as heck.
#FFXIV ANTIDOTE PLUS#
"Okay game," I said to myself, "Let's see what you got."Īfter about an hour plus of cut scene after cut scene with copious amounts of dialog, I finally got out in the world and started fighting. I logged in and saw the usual beautiful graphics. Square Enix and Final Fantasy franchise could rot in hell for all I care. I tried playing for a few days, decided that it was BS and quit. I had never been more disappointed with a game. I decided I wanted to jump in on the new game, Final Fantasy XIV, right at launch. Sounds like an excellent investment to me.I have friends that were telling me for years about how awesome Final Fantasy XI was. The sooner you can begin resting after a fight, the sooner you can begin the next one = more chances to Chain, and more XP / hour. That way they can start their healing right away instead of waiting for the WHM to get to them - which just ends up meaning that the WHM has even more time to rest to fill MP, making it harder to hit that next chain. It's much better for the pt (opportunity to chain) if the WHM does poisona on one of the players, and others that are poisoned that need to rest pop an Antidote. Your WHM should have Poisona, but WHMs take forever to cast anything, and they have long cooldown periods between spells (no Fast Cast). if you are a mage (or PLD that needs to rest for mp) and right before the end of the fight your mob does an AoE Poison on you. (hell even I still have much much to see) Not flaming, but it's good to keep an open mind when you still have the vast majority of the game to experience. Well it's interesting to see how adamant you are that this item is worthless even though this is your first post here and your level isn't high enough to see many of the uses for it.
